Sexual Orientation Regulations 2007 pdf

Introduction to Diversity pdf

Anne Hayfield is an independent trainer and consultant with many years’ experience in the equality and diversity arena.

Her work is on two levels:
Level one is working with organisations to create the conditions where the power of diversity is harnessed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.  For example Anne has worked with senior managers at BT and Coopers and Lybrand on diversity issues.

Level two is empowering those from traditionally disadvantaged groups so that the potential of all staff is realised. Anne has recent experience of running the Institute of Leadership and Management course in team leading for groups of predominately black and ethnic minority women. Many of these are returning to the workforce after a career break and originally came to this country as asylum seekers.

Anne has worked with a wide range or organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors providing consultancy and training. She has worked with an amazingly diverse group of clients. She is equally at home delivering presentations to elected members and senior managers as to caretakers and security guards.

She has been involved with three training packs on the Sexual Orientation Regulations. The first of these, “Work Out” is based on Lesbian and Gay Employment Rights casework experience. It can be purchased from this website. “Making Equality Simple” was co-authored with Mohammed Aziz and published by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. This can be downloaded from the NCVO website www.ncvo-vol.org.uk  Anne advised BDP media on their “Sexual Orientation” training pack produced in collaboration with Stonewall.  This pack can be purchased via the website www.skillboosters.com .

Anne can work on a one-to-one basis, as when she mentored an equalities manager at the BBC.

Her work is not only restricted to this country as she has run workshops on anti-racist practice in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg.

Anne is an associate of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
and a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
